The Ailsa Tavern is a traditional community pub set in the beautiful suburb of St Margarets. With a large beer garden and original facade, it is a place run as it should be - welcoming, lively and family-oriented - a place where anyone can come to enjoy a day or evening. Children are more than welcome, and whether they play in the Wendy house or with our selection of games, you will get the chance to relax and enjoy your visit to the Ailsa as well..!  

Our well-kept range of real ales and fine chilled lagers are from the Country's oldest brewery, and we have recently refreshed our menu and our wine and spirit selections. So whether you are looking for some serious refreshment or just fancy a cup of our amazing Teapigs tea, our bar staff will be happy to steer you in the right direction.

Our food has a great local reputation; our kitchen is now open all day to provide you with one of our freshly made pizzas or incredible Ailsa Burgers whenever you feel the urge. Our tapas selection has been updated, accompanying our brand new oriental range and additional main meals. Coupled with the new wine list, the Ailsa will be the perfect venue for a eating out locally, whatever the occasion.

The Ailsa is a great venue for a night out with friends or family in St Margarets. Our Curry Night on Tuesdays and Roasts on Sunday provide culinary incentive, while our live music or theme nights on Fridays and fun Pub Quiz on Thursdays offer something a little livlier for your group.
